Could you picture watching a film without sound? The picture quality could be the most beautiful you've ever seen, but without sound it's no better than watching a television with the mute button on. Audio is critical to the livelihood of any film. Every film you've ever watched has sound; even films that claim to be silent have music! The three main components of Film Audio consist of Dialogue, Sound Effects, and Music. Our state-of-the-art recording studio is designed to bring you all three of those things at the best possible quality.

FENIX DOWN

Fenix Down is a rock band influenced by video games. Located in New York City, the band decided to go with a theme closer to home. Their new song " Breathe", speaks about being honest in relationships; if two people don't have the proper chemistry, then perhaps it's time to move on. So it was up to us to capture the proper mood.
We started by scouting out a location that would be suitable for the project. After some searching, we found a penthouse that we liked, and we began the video treatment.
The 1st day of shooting consisted solely of green screen shots. All shots were performance based, featuring both solo and group shots of the band dancing to the song.
The 2nd day we shot 2 performance shots; one on a rooftop with a fantastic view, and one in the inside of the penthouse. Fenix Down hosts 6 members, four male and two female. Shooting was a bit tight, but it came together nicely with properly placed Arri 650s and the HVX 200. For "B Roll" we shot a breakup scene with the lead singer and a model, playing the role of his current girlfriend of whom he was having difficulties with. The shot was in the den of the penthouse. The wallpaper on the walls was different contrasts of red and provided for a very unique look to an otherwise normal shot. We are currently setting up for the 3rd and final day of shooting

COMIC BOOK JONES

Comic Book Jones was an interesting project for all of us. We did a one-day shoot with 7 actors. The treatment involves a young boy walking into the store browsing through the comics. As he is searching through, he starts to see things that might only be seen in comics, such as characters wielding magic, and jedis having light-saber duels. Lighting was the key to this commercial to capture the proper movie quality. Once shot, we went to work using after effects to create the magical powers and glowing light-saber scene. Finally, we added an epic flavored score, and a deep male voiceover to seal in the heroic-movie feel.
